Meet Dr. Mendoza Dr. J.Carlos Mendoza has been in the field of dentistry for over 14 years.  He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.S. Degree in Environmental Science (2004) and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from one of America’s most distinguished dental schools, the University of California at Los Angeles (2009). At the UCLA School of Dentistry, Dr. Mendoza received the George F. Baker Scholarship and the prestigious National Health Service Corps Scholarship. During his second year in the field, Dr. Mendoza became a Continuing Education lecturer for the University of California at Los Angeles and served as an Adjunct Faculty at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health.   He is now an active member in the following professional organizations:  the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), and the Fresno/Madera Dental Society. Dr. Mendoza volunteers with several prominent local non-profit dental organizations, including but not limited to TeamSmile, where he volunteers to provide dental services to underserved children.

Dr Mendoza is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI), a prestigious achievement that signifies a dentist’s dedication to the field of implant dentistry. As an ICOI Fellow, Dr Mendoza has demonstrated a high level of knowledge, skill, and commitment to providing exceptional care in the realm of oral implantology.

ICOI Fellowship involves an extensive educational journey and a rigorous evaluation process. Dentists seeking Fellowship must undergo advanced training in implant dentistry, including attending ICOI-approved courses, lectures, and workshops. They are required to complete a significant number of implant cases and demonstrate proficiency in various aspects of implant treatment planning, surgical placement, and restoration.

By attaining ICOI Fellowship, Dr Mendoza gains access to a global network of like-minded professionals who share a passion for advancing oral implantology.

Being an ICOI Fellow demonstrates a commitment to excellence and ongoing professional development. It signifies Dr Mendoza’s dedication to providing patients with the highest quality of care while adhering to the highest ethical standards in the field of oral implantology.

Along with his staff, Dr. Mendoza, is dedicated to educating, treating, and maintaining his patients’ optimal oral health in a manner consistent with his education at UCLA School of Dentistry, which focused on “putting the patient first”.

During his leisure time Dr. Mendoza enjoys training for and competing in triathlons, playing soccer, and learning new languages.
