Veneers

Veneers are very thin, tooth colored ceramic restorations, bonded to the surface of the existing tooth in order to improve smile esthetics. They are typically placed as pairs and restricted to areas visible when one smiles, like the front of the mouth.

Veneers require minimal tooth preparation and are fabricated in the laboratory.

Benefits of veneer placement:

  • Closing spaces between teeth
  • Fixing slightly rotated or angled teeth
  • Improving smile design
  • Obtaining a lighter front teeth shade

Onlay & Inlay Restoration

Inlay and Onlay’s are restorations which are considered partial coverage crowns due to their size. They can be made from ceramic (tooth-colored) or gold materials. These laboratory fabricated restorations are conservative in nature & highly aesthetic.

Inlay & Onlay restorations require less tooth removal than a conventional crown.

Composite Fillings

Composite (tooth colored) fillings are used to repair teeth that have been affected by tooth-decay, exhibit cracks or are fractured. During the simple in-office procedure, Dr. Mendoza removes the decayed portion and places a filling, matching the shade of the neighboring tooth.

Due to its excellent ability to match existing tooth color, composite fillings are highly aesthetic restorations, which will contribute to a beautiful smile.

When a composite filling may be appropriate:

  • Chipped/broken tooth
  • An existing space between teeth
  • Cavities
  • Worn out tooth

Endodontics (Root Canal)

A root canal is a routine dental procedure that is used to remove diseased nerve tissue from the inside of a tooth.

Narrow canals exist within the roots of the tooth, wherein nerve and lymph tissue and blood supply reside. During a root canal (endodontic) procedure, the nerve tissue within the canals of the root are cleaned out. The tooth is properly disinfected by removing all bacteria and infection from it’s canals. After disinfection the root canals are filled with biocompatible materials designed to prevent pain and infection from recurring.

iTooth Dentistry upholds the highest standards of care for patients requiring root canal therapy.

Parents can rest assured that Dr. Mendoza will apply the highest principles of patient care, in a nurturing environment.

Pediatric services offered:

  • Prophylaxis
  • Fillings

Cleanings

iTooth Dentistry offers comprehensive periodontal (gum) therapy to all patients. After an initial examination, Dr. Mendoza will evaluate the patient’s x-rays and oral findings and recommend a periodontal treatment plan.

Two most common periodontal (gum) treatments:

  • Adult Prophylaxis (Cleaning)
  • Adult Scaling & Root planing (Deep Cleaning) – this is needed when there is a large accumulation of tartar/calculus on the surface of the tooth, under the level of the gum. For patient comfort, the Dentist will place small amounts of local anesthetic in order to fully remove all debris (tartar) from the tooth surface.

Teeth Whitening

iTooth Dentistry offers whitening services to all patients. The natural color of teeth is not white, but typically a shade of yellow or gray.

Dr. Mendoza utilizes whitening products containing a percentage of hydrogen peroxide to achieve the desired aesthetic look for his patients.

Whitening services are offered to all patients, following a comprehensive examination and completion of periodontal treatment.  Teeth whitening can be achieved with a simple in-office procedure or take-home whitening kit, custom made for your teeth.
